I was reading the post about getting air in the heater system. It was said that the heater inlet comes from the manifold and returns to the pump. Is that right? I always thought it went form the pump through the heater core and back to the manifold.
I'm asking cuz I'm puuting ClassicAuto Air in my 69 and am ready to hook up the hoses. Both are 5/8" so it can go either way. I didn't have a heater in before so I don't have anything top compare it to.
Thanks

Since the upper hose goes "out" to the radiator, it stands to reason that the upper heater hose (on the intake) goes out to the heater core as well?

Thanks. I was also thinking that the supply would go to the bottom of the heater core to help displace air, but that doesn't seem to be the case either.
I guess I'm just backwards!

After doing some more searching, I found I was right about the core anyway..............

on a stock setup, that's exactly how it goes. The hoses do a twist... The hose from the manifold (water comes out here) goes to the bottom connection on the core. The top connection on the core (water leaves the core here) returns to the fitting on the water pump.
