I ran the car at the local T&T on Sunday. Weather was sunny and 75 deg...

car weight with driver 3000lbs

1st run with my dynomax hemi super turbos ( 20" case..nice and quiet)

12.63 @ 106 1.82 60'

2nd run mufflers and pipes off ( i have a quick disconnect...10 min)

12.23 @110 1.80 60'

3rd pass dual stage. leaves on a 100 shot,1 sec out it goes to 200 total

10.26 @127 1.46 60'

I had a problem here. At the 900-1000 ' mark the lexan roof decided to leave the car, soaring as high as the timing lights, so about that time i let off. The roof was unhurt, just needs reglued.

this was with the stock rear rims 26X11.5X16 ET streets @ 12 lbs ( i did a 4" wheelie), front runners, the D-36 with 3.08 gears is still alive and making no noise. I think it has more in it, but i'll just run motor till the end of the season, then i'll bring the second kit in sooner and see what happens. I think it will go 128-129 MPH ?

I should have a video to post later this week

that just too fast aint it?
Wow, thats cool that you made a good pass without blowin anything up.
I'm also surprised at the mph diff. with it uncapped, since I run the same muffs on my truck, I may have to uncap it next time.
I see a 9.90 pass in your future if the dana holds up, found a Dana44 yet?
Have fun wuppin up an all that late model stuff, its fun:D

unreral, Mike! 10:26! did u do something about the rollbar issue, or is that why the juice is retired for the season?

i doesn't seem all that fast ...till the roof left the car, then i let off. It might squeeze out a 9 sec pass, but it will take a perfect day to do it. I'll probably do like your buddy with the vert vette and put a piece of black tape across the top so no air gets in there next time. As for the rear, it depends on what breaks weather i switch to a D-44 or straight axle.

Jim M,

I don't have a roll bar and don't plan to put one in. This car is 99.9% of the time street driven, so i don't really want one in there. So far they haven't said anything. I will still spray the 100 shot and run low 11's, but due to the rear end i''ll hold off on the big stuff till the end of summer. If i break it now it has to sit..i like driving it. I think i can get 100 more lbs out of the car too.

Thats just flat insane!!! Your cars 60' times are incredible for a 3.07 gear! Good job and get that video going so we can see!!

Youre not that crazy Mike... My buddy Jim (Hotrod 540 on chevelles) is the
nut holding the steering wheel in his 67 conv. Vette, with the pump gas 540,
that runs 10.0s @140mph without a roll bar, and its a G-force 5-speed, so its
kickin and buckin all the way down the track. I went for a ride in that rocket
down the feeder once, and in 3rd gear at 100mph is when he could actually
get on it so it wasnt blowin the tires off... fun!

I'm suprised uncapping made that much difference too. I'm running the same mufflers on my 68 with a big block. I love how quite they are, but I didnt think they would knock .4 sec and 4 mph off. I guess I have to try that out after testing my new gears this coming friday night.

Thanks for posting your results

HAHA, hot rod 540 has to be very brave. i would not drive that car down the track, but like me with mine, i'm sure he's very familiar with the car. I never thought mine would go that quick or fast, i was praying for a 10.50. I did some calculating and there's no way the car will go any quicker. I will probably MPH a little better, but that's about it for ET. I'm very happy with it though. Now I'm going to install a built 700 r-4 and test the differences there.

My friend is having a problem with his computer, but i'll get a video soon for everyone to see.

Not bad for a 360 HP 355 , with a flat tappet cam and 3.07 gears:)
