its been one of thoses days yesterday i i washed my 99 s-10 and vacuumed cleaned it inside and out well i must have had the doors open to long this morning 5 30 in the morning i went to start the truck and got the starter chatter and no crank but the battery had enough to set off the alarm and it wouldnt reset 5;30 am in the morning my neighbors must love me .so i had to get ontp the garage grab the charger and the extention cord pop the hood to get the battery up so i could stop the alarm did i say it was 530 in the morning do you know how loud an alarm is at 5;30 so the charger gave me enough to stop the alarm .so my charger has a engine crank switch so i flipped and started the truck disconnected everything and off to work and i didnt get out the driveway and the check engine was flashing at me and i noticed that idle its feels like it running rough so its running so i keep going now that im running late when i get home i put the scanner on the truck and it shows code po300 and says multiple cylinder misfire ok now what if it was my camaro i wouldnt have a problem . but im lost so what do i ck first did i damage something hooking up the charger do i pull the plugs ??/ i need help

Did you clean the engine? if your spark plug wires are old, and the wires got wet, it will cause a multiple cylinder misfire, most likely that's your problem.

well this morning i erased the error code and it came back on the way to work so when i got home tonight i cked around the engine i didnt see anything obivious so with the engine running i pulled one plug wire at a time off the distributer and i didnt notice any differene in the idle so i pulled the dist cap and rotor there was bit of bild up on the post and on the end of the rotor so i cleaned them up .put it back together .started it and the code changed to 306 and read number 6 cyl missfire so i ran to the local parts store and for a mear $150 for new plugs and wires ,i changed the 6 wire and plug and so far no codes .so tomorrow ill change the rest of the plugs and wires . but i cant beleave its just a coincidence that this pug or wire went bad o well i hope that is all it was thanks
