I decided to sand off some rust and spray a topcoat of "rattle can" paint on my radiator while I had it out of the car. But I wasn't thinking and didn't use a high temperature paint. Did I screw up, or should this be okay.

But I probably need to upgrade the radiator for my new engine anyway.

Most laquers or enamels are already "high temperature". Should be okay.
