Is there supposed to be a seal or gasket between the duct in the dash panel & the plastic "plenum" for the '69 defroster? It appears as thoughthere is a foam "remnant" or perhaps some adhesive residue. I have not seen this gasket available in any of the catalogs?
Thanks

I replaced a heater core this past winter in my Z and I bought a complete gasket seal kit while I did it. The kit came with several foam gaskets; for the firewall and heater core, 2 seals for the defroster duct to dash board that get glued to the defroster duct, along with several other seals for the heater box to defroster and the flap doors. The 2 defroster duct gaskets are oblong and open in the center for the ducts. If this is the duct you are talking about and I am thinking of, I used one of the seals there. Their kit was a universal 67-69 heater box & defroster duct seal kit. I think this is what you are talking about.? The part number was 16-0780, small block, at Rick's, check on line. I hope this helps.

Two oblong foam seals. They come in the typical seal kit.
