Im tearing into my 67 doing a rebuild of the front suspension from a kit from PST minus the center link and pitman arm. My question is what is the best way to know if I should be replacing the pitman and center link or not too. My steering would wobble all over at about 90 mph (at the track) and I knew that a rebuild was in order. The idler arm was shot, most of the ball joints boots were spilt and ozing. I had replaced my manual steering with power a few years ago, and when I took the castle nut off the pitman arm last night the center link fell right off it.. I guess i never torqued it down to the right specs. Any ideas would be a help... thanks

With everything dying on you, you might just consider going with a new one and save any worries down the road. Better safe and down a few $$ then sorry and a broken down car.

The pitman arm stud should not wiggle side to side at all, if it seems loose replace it.
There are no parts on the center link to wear out, the only thing that can go wrong with it is if it's bent, or if the taper holes get worn from having a loose stud bolted onto it.

Allways double check everything you do to your suspension, it's your life on the line.
