Could you figure out how they got it started up? Why are the interiors and wiring so valuable?

Hey steve they did the same thing to my 93 maximum.Completely gutted bose speakers ,leather steering wheel, door panels, wheels, the car was a shell when I got it back. The police said they will strip it and go to the aution and buy you shell of a truck cheap take it back to there shop (Chop shop)and reinstall you parts sell the truck for big cash. This is big money to them.My car the sales man use it as a demo and had the car sent to an upoltri shop had the door panel in leather wood grain dash the works officer said someone had an order in for my car? They flat bedded away had alarm motion sensor and the club in the bowling alley parking lot people coming in and out. They problemly thought it was beeing repo!

Stevo, are you allowed to keep it? or does the insurance company take it now? I'd do something with it.... but you've got enough 'projects' don'tcha?

Steve,
When did it get stolen? I know the pics are from RENO so obviously it was while you were working there.
What is your new TOY?

That is a real bummer, Sorry Dude!

WOW!! They pretty much cleaned it out. They did leave your brand new tires behind though. I bet someone had a truck like yours that was in bad shape so they figured they would take your parts for their truck. Wouldn't it have been easier to swap VIN numbers? I never could understand thieves.

Most insurance companies will let you buy back your totalled vehicle. I just don't kknow what you would do with it, way too many parts missing.

I could buy it back I suppose. The only thing I could do is cut the frame under the cab, bend the frame rails in & weld a tounge on it for a utility trailer. Sell the rearend & pull the tires. If I could get it for like $500 it would be worth it. Yeah Royce, I noticed the new tires were still on it. Can't figure that one out either. I'm assuming they took the computer & wiring for the motor, trans & transfer case. It was electronic shift so.....
Yeah Tony, got ripped 4/8/04 off 4th st.
But Joes right, got enough work to do so I'll just let it go.

Not sure about the Mustang next to it. This is a regular tow yard. I had to release it so another facility could pick it up, then an insurance agent goes to inspect & write a report on it.
There's a separate compound for insurance issues like this.

But get this. As I leave the tow yard, 1 block away, a nice dark blue 2000 Silverado 3/4 ext. cab long bed HD is just screaming my name. LOL :D

Heated leather buckets, 3rd door, 6.0 engine, electronic shift, overhead console, center console, rear window defrost, limo black tinted glass, stainless brush guard, stainless nerf bars & bud guard, 4" fabtech lift, custom weld wheels, 315x75x16 tires, front reciever hitch with removable 9000lb. Ramsey winch with remote, spray in bedliner with diamond plate bed caps, tow package, pro comp shocks and last but not least, 1000 watt alpine stereo system, CD of course. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Yeah it's used, (58K), and no, it's not a diesel, but I like it. And have you seen the price of diesel fuel lately? HA!

Hope to take delivery in about a week.

Its a total loss. I'd fine some older tires to replace the new ones. Good luck with the new truck.
