I've got an 89 RS... i've just bought replacement speakers for the car. Obviously the rear speakers are easy, but my question is... how do i and how difficult is it to replace the fronts? If anyone knows, if you wouldn't mind, please give me kind of a rundown on the process... Thanks so much.

If the 89 is anything like the 82- 86, you would have to remove the dash pad to gain access to the front speakers. I believe there are 2 screws in each defroster vent, and about 10 along the front edge of the dash pad. the factory 4x6 speakers are mounted to plates that help brace the dash, and support the ecm.

Yeah, you gotta pull the dash to get to the fronts.
