I have just purchased a 67 with a 9" ford rear. I would like to up-grade the wheels and tires to 17". Not sure if I can use the backspacing and sizes listed on this forum. Can anyone tell me the over all width of a stock 67 rear? Need to know drum to drum where wheel would mount.
Thanks

Kevin;
First off - WELCOME to Team Camaro :beers:
Next to your question - the "Stock width" is 60".
Here are a couple past posts that discuss the same question and have some great info for you in them -
*9” Info;
http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=51035&page=2&pp=15&highlight=rear+axle+width%2A
*Width Info;
http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=51586&highlight=rear+end%2A
Never under estimate the info you can find in past posts no matter the question :hurray:
When you do a search try using a 'wild card' by putting a "*" in the search after the main word you are looking for ( e.g. = "rear end width*" will get you a bunch of posts that have info about width of rear end set-ups!)
Hope this helps;

I could be wrong, but I thought when measuring a rear you measure from backing plate to backing plate. If this is true a first generation camaro rear should be 54.5 inches. Maybe overall length is 60 inches? :confused:
