I have never seen a factory rear sway bar on a 1969 Camaro. Could someone provide pictures or describe how the attachement points to the body are done? I once installed an aftermarket Herb Adams rear sway bar in a '69 convertible (worked great) but did not like the design of the mounts to the frame area-- interference with the location of the fuel line.

You haven't seen one because there never was a factory rear sway bar. Just adding one without compensating with a larger front sway bar will only generate more oversteer. :)

My 3/4" ADDCO rear swaybar clamp mounts to lower rearend's two axle tubes, one on each side and then the ends mount to the unibody's rearend S/F's, (for want of a better name for them), by using square shaped "U" bolts and a bottom "fishplate" plate that goes thru two holes on each side at about the middle of the 45 degree angle towards the front.
These hold the about right-angled brackets that holds the top end-link bushings, washers and nuts.
Just be sure that you adjust AND tighten everything tight AFTER you have it on the ground b/c you want the end link bolts just long enough so that the S/B ends are level..

PS., I also have an ADDCO 1" front s/b..
AND YES, BEFORE I RESTIFIED MY CAR, it exhibited some understeer, but nothing a little throttle won't compensate for, IMHO!!!!!
I got used to it AND love it!! Just turn a corner, hit the throttle and cut right around it!! But my car was and still is very stiff, plus has fast ratio steering and has wide tires on the back!
