Has anyone tried the repro brackets for a convert? Mainly concerned with the fit. Thanks in advance.

I have had no issues with 2 sets of 67s or one set of 68..... no the mirror boot and it holding the sunvisors in tight is another thing....

I bought a set for my '68 last year. They look great - but I had to drill 1 new hole on each side as the ones in the brackets didn't line up with the existing holes in the window surround. Ditto on the sunvisor. The pegs on the sunvisors have plastic bushings that slip over the pegs. There were extremly tough to get in the holes on the brackets and still don't look like they are all the way in.

Gene that is so true! I took the repro mirror boot I bought off and put the old discolored original back on cause the #@$%# sunvisors would keep popping out with the repro one unless it was freezing cold and the material stiffened up.

I recently replaced the end backets, as well as the mirror boot. No fit problems at all, only complaint is when you unclip the visors, they hang down quite a bit, and don't stay in place as well as the factory brackets.
