I just bought wheels for my 67 Camaro, and am torn between tire options. I need a balanced tire mainly for street that will allow my car to hit its 1g cornering goal along with a tire that will allow it to hook off the line. (Speedtech Upper and Lower arms w. QA1 Coil overs/4 wheel Wilwood discs) 245/45/17 Front (17x8 4.75BS) and 275/40/17 Rear (5.5BS) American Racing Hopsters. This is a big block car with lots of torque and horsepower. (600hp+, 600ft/lbs torque+) I would like to know what tires everyone runs, and how well the KDs hookup with a high horsepower vehicle. I am trying to justify the $275 differnece in price between the BFG KD's and the Kumho MX's. I can get the KD's for $994 mounted & balanced w/ tax included. The Kumho MX's are only $718 mounted & balanced w/ tax included. Anyone with the KD's or the MX's please post how you like them, and your engine power. Thanks!
