Well i installed the hotchkis front sway bar and 2 inch drop coil springs .
It sure helped knowing to install the sway bar first before installing the
coil spring and front spindle's. it still was a chore , trying not to nick and
scratch the new hotchkis sway bar , it would of been a real { B } if i tryed
after the coil and spindle insall . All i have to get now is the Bump Steer Adjustable Tie Rod Set from Baer performance products. And installing the
idler arm . Then i can install the center link and inner and outer tie rod ends .

Then the alignment , and i am off and running .

Any feedback would be helpfull . thaks

I just finished installing the plus GW UCAs and Baer front disc, and yes it would have been a chore to install the sway bar later.

I have been thinking about getting the Baer Tracker kit. Where did you order from and how long did it take to get it and?

Rocketrod You Can Order The Baer Tracker Kit From The Baer Web Site At Baer.com Or Try Yearone.com Or Yearonenextgeneration.com And Click On Suspention Then Go Down To Baer .

You mentioned that you had to install the sway bar first. Was this due to the Hotchkis bar/dropped spring combo?

Ive done quite a few front suspension rebuilds, but always installed the sway bar last without any problem.

RAMAIRDAVE The reason for the installation of the sway bar first was i had some feedback that it would be easer , and less congested if i installed the sway bar first . It was my first front end overhaul and i was glad for the input i receved .
Thank you for your input and experience in this field of
front end work .

Thanks again RAMAIRDAVE

Ive never tried installing the bar first, I would think it might get in the way a little. Then again, maybe its not.

Theres two ways to go on installing it last. Its difficult to mount the control arm ends, it acts like the end link bolts are too short, but theyre not. One is to mount those ends first, then the frame mounts. Can be tricky with only one person. The other way is to mount it at the frame, then mount the end links without the very top bushing in place and just get the nut started. Once the weight is on the suspension it will all fall into place, with plenty of end link thread, and will be no problem.

RAMAIRDAVE . I see what you mean , about the sway bar links looking like thay might be hard to get the nut started on the outher side .
There was just a couple of threds to get nut started .

Installed my idler arm today , and center link , now it's bare, Bump steer adjustable outer tie rod set , screw the inner tie rod into the outer , adjust them , install then off to the alignment shop , I cant wait to get it on the street .

Thanks for the input

I've left my sway bar end links disconnected for now, until I get some weight on the front end and can then properly attach the ends to the links. I don't have any sheetmetal or an engine in it yet.
I wouldn't just screw the nuts on a couple of threads until you get weight on it, and can finish torqueing them down. You might end up stripping one of them off when you're putting weight on and off the suspension in the meantime.

Dave, you must have the patience of Job if you can install the swaybar with everything else already installed first!
If I'd known what a hassle it was going to be to install a 1" bar AFTER the arms, spindles and springs were already in place, I'd have waited for sure!

Hwystarjoe .
jaker110 here i placed my hotchkis one and one 8th inch sway bar in first , so i wouldent fight it later with the springs and spindle in place . It was the only logical way to assemble the front suspention .
Worked like a charm . I spent too much money for the sway bar to fight it in .

Thanks for the input
