Hello everyone, does anyone have any pics or ideas for custom consoles? I'm looking to build one from beneath the heater control to the tunnel to include the shifter. Sheet metal or wood, which would be better? Once again, thanks for the help.

I did one years ago, included the whole center of the dash, straight down from the dash pad, then back for the console. The verticle panel made it easy to use a din radion, and i was able to fit the stock heater control (in a different location) use the stock butt tray (with a new cover) and fit 2 rows of 3 2" guages in the top section.

I used 1/2" plywood, and covered the sides with black vinyl over a thin foam pad, and the dash face and console top got covered with brushed alluminum sheet. It looked most nice.

Thanks for the info Jim. I'm assuming you don't have any pictures since you did it years ago? I have the 4 gauge pod that I would like to incorporate into it. It doesn't fit on the center console like it's supposed to. The center console is pretty beat up anyway.
