Robs6t8 posted a thread on custom consoles and got me thinking (that's bad!) -thought I'd get some opinions from you all.

I love the console and the gauges, but I absolutely hate the feel and look of the shifter. While I can easily change the 'guts' of the shifter to improve the 'feel', I can't find a shifter handle that'll work with the console. So, I'm entertaining ideas on either a custom console, custom gauge mounting or on a shifter that will work with a console. I like the short throw, straight handle look like the Hurst Indy shifter. If using a console, the plastic slide cover will be replaced with a nice black leather boot.
