My 69 has the Ivory seats and door panels with black carpet, headliner, dash, etc. The seats are tough to keep clean and need to be redyed so I'm thinking about changing them to black along with the door panels.

My concern is that the interior will be too hot in the summer being all black. Has anyone gone to a black interior and regretted it because it was too hot?

Thanks,
Brian

No doubt it'll be hotter, but I'm in the same boat as you. I'm currently in the process of converting my 69 ivory interior to black, all I have left to do is get the seats recovered, I personally don't much like the white look either, and they are hard to keep clean, especially with a grease monkey like me driving the car! I say go for it!!!!

Have you guys tried Mr. Clean Magic Erasure on your white vinyl? That product really cleans!

I have black standard interior in mine and am planning to change it to the black hoodstooth to break up all the black. I think the contrast is nice.

Same dilema here. I have an Ivory interior. The seats are in very good condition. The rest was junk. I flip flop between Ivory and black. With the color of my car, I am leaning towards Ivory. Any input? Opinions?

Vinyl is just hot period. The leather interior in my daily driver has never been as hot as the vinyl was in the Camaro. I would suggest installing breathable fabrics (houndstooth, comfortweave, leather, etc.) and or tinting the windows to reduce heat.

I don't think tinting the windows will help me much with the top down
