Hey everyone, Found a car I am going try and make a deal on, 69 z/28 x33 car. Trim tag says car came w/ vinyl top but has been gone for years, Pins for trim punched, cut out then filled, Is it hard to replace them? Or how much does not having on there devalue the car? This will be a nice restoration project and will be a weekend driver car, not a concourse car. Also how much does not painting it the trim tag color devalue it? Car would be painted one of the orig. colors, just possibly not the orig.

If you're not going with the original color, then not having a top won't hurt the value any more. If you like vinyl tops, then I'd put it on, if not then don't. If it is a real Z, I'd be inclined to go all original. You can get repro pins to put the top trim back on.

Just curious, what's the original color? What color would you change it to?
