Hey, Heres the deal. Im looking to buy my first classic, a 69 camaro. I've had the chance to drive a few and they are great....only problem is that I find there isn't enough leg room (I'm 6'1). How difficult is it to move the seat and railing back? Is there a limit to how far back I can take it?

I'm 6' to 6'1" and I don't have any problems. The car has all standard factory seats and pedals. My head doesn't get near the headliner because the tops never up. So, I'd suggest a convertible. :D

lol. Thanks for the suggestion. I'd go for the convertible if I wasn't in such a rainy city. But its not an issue of headroom....i have long, lanky legs lol and I like to have them stretched out

Do a search on seat extenders. There are some posts on constructing extenders out of bar stock that will allow you to mount the seat back further. I am 6'5" and moved my seat back which really helped with the leg room.

I'm in the same boat. I found and bought seat extenders on Ebay. They set the seat back 2". I could have made a set but these were nicely done. Came primed and I por-15'd them. Bolted in easily.

Thanks for the help, i'll look into those! I've been cursed with always having to drive a car without any leg room lol.
