Why do you think this one is bogus? Looks pretty good to me, but then it is a pretty poor picture of the stamp pad. Not sure whaqt the big "8" stamp is for, but could be a machine shop marking.

At least this one has a partial vin that is correct for the time frame. My car is about 5000 after this one, with an 08A tag, and the engine was assembled 0702.

Also does not appear to be decked. I think this one could be the real deal. May not be the original heads, but that's not unusual, as abused as these engines were back then. They are definitely in the ball park.

Can't see the balancer or the distributor to check for authenticity, but the block is the main thing, especially if you happen to own car 124379N665455.
