I have some seatbelts that I would like to identify.
The first set is a front set, with retractors. They are standard (black buckles) with the blue GM insignia.
Both tags say:
Irving 1967
Model #214
23-A-67
I have 2 rear belts with the polished buckles and the GM insignia.
1 tag 1-tag
IRVING 1967 HAMILL 1968
MODEL #211 MODEL #131
21-A-67 36-E-67
(Are these for a 67?, I thought 67's had the carriage on them)
I have 2 rear belts with the polished buckles and the carriage insignia.
1-tag
HAMILL 1967
MODEL #122
51-C-66
1-tag
HAMILL 1967
MODEL #122
(NO CODE)
I am going to sell these & want to advertise them correctly.
Thanks for your help!

The first number is the week, the letter is for the day of week and the last is year of manufacture. For instance, your first one is the 23rd week of 1967 assembled on Monday. I don't believe there was a letter for Sunday. But I could be mistaken. The Irving belts are for standard interiors and the Hamill are deluxe interiors. Kevin and MarkC are in the process of researching the Model numbers, but from what I have gathered so far 122 125 and 127 are all deluxe model numbers. I think the shoulder belt in deluxe was model 132. You are correct in saying that the 1967 model year had carriage for the button.

I was just working thru the final edits of my belt article last night. Doing 4 articles at once and none get done. :)
The full year code (eg 1967) indicates the model year that the belts were made for.
Yup, any model # starting with a 2 is standard. Starting with a 1 is deluxe.
211 is a rear std.
131 & 122 are rear dlx.

Keep in mind that the covers and buttons could have easily been replaced from another year.

Thats what I'm assuming happend on this one:
polished buckles and the GM insignia.

Looks like I've got a 68 deluxe cover on a 67 belt. (right?)
Thanks for the replies!!!

This seatbelt article took a long time to do. A bunch of other articles and redoing most of the CRG info pages kinda got in the way..... :)

"You are correct in saying that the 1967 model year had carriage for the button. "
That is only partially true. The 67 model year used both carriage and the turquoise/blue GM labels for the standard seatbelts. 1967 deluxe belts had the carriage only.
Also the letter following the week code is believed to be the plant code not the day of the week. The letter "A" indicating the Irvin plant on standard seatbelts.
MY 67 RS has the original standard seatbelts and have the GM label. The seatbelt article Kurt posted is a great writeup.

Here are some pictures of the standard seatbelt tags in my 67 RS. These belts are 100% original to the car.
I have read the seatbelt article on CRG and am not sure about the dates in regards to to the retractor vs non-retractors. My car is an 03D build and has the front retractors. Not sure how the week count is computed. Kurt??

10A67 = 10th week of 67.
Oh, I see you mean the comment on 49th week. 49th week of 66.
That will be fixed in the new release too. Thanks!
