My drivers side rear hydrlic piston is not working to lift the top. Its seal is blown. I tried to remove it but can seem to get it out to replace it. Is there a trick to it? Or does anyone know of a place I can take it to get it replaced. I am in the Chicago western Burbs

it's been 20 years since I had a power top camaro, but I think... If you disconnect the tops of both rams while they are "short" (lowered) than manually raise the top, or maybe disconnect them with the top up, and hit the lower switch til they get short, there is room to get them out.

with ram in the retracted...
I remove the bolt on inner 1/4 brace and then the cly bolts , then slide it down and out. Its a pain but it will come out
