Is there a template or a drawing that shows the proper mounting location of the front deluxe bumper guards ??? I am looking to buy and install a pair on my 69. I want to be ready for what I need to do. Currently I have a stock bumper up front.

Thank for the help !

When mounted, they cover the bumps located on the underside of the front bumper. After adjusting bumper perfectly, mount the guards loosely so they are centered on the bumps and completely hide them. Tighten top hooks bolt and make sure they are parellel and mark the hole in the lower valance. It is an eyeball kinda deal.

The mounting dimensions are in the Assembly manuals V31 page A1 for both years. The mounting holes are 10" on either side of the lower valance centerline on a 68 and 7.85" from the centerline on a 69. The holes are 13/32" in diameter for both years. 69 says to use the guard as a template, 68 shows the hole being located 3.5" below the bottom of the vent in the valance measured on the surface of the valance.
