Adjacent to the 2005 SUPERCAR Reunion http://www.yenko.net/reunion/2005reunion.htm
The Gateway Camaro Club will once again be hosting a Outdoors MuscleCar Show.
I can ONLY encourage YOU people to help promote the OUTDOORS show at the SuperCar Reunion. The INDOORS SuperCar Reunion is already Famous and Well attended by the owners and fans of REAL $100,000 plus Yenko's, ZL1's, COPO's etc etc....Even though I will never own one, I enjoy seeing these museum quality, survivor, history making cars......
NOW THEN you have one of our members Mike Steitz, who is president of the St Louis Area Gateway Camaro club....and starting last year put on the FREE OUTDOORS MuscleCar Show for those cars NOT qualifying for the SuperCar Reunion. This is also held in conjunction with a drag race on Friday, that WE could participate in.....
As well this year, My Classic Car TV show will be filming the entire thing, but not sure if OUTDOOR show will be included.
WE should support and attend this GATEWAY Camaro Club event, and JUMP aboard an already planned event.....
Chuck Sharin

Thank you Chuck! I could not have said it better myself. And what could be more centrally located? We also have a six flags about 30 miles west. We have the gateway arch. We have the St. Louis Zoo, the art museum, Gateway international speedway and drag strip. There are lots of things to do in StLouis, and the outdoor SCR8 cruise in already exists! Cmon guys and gals...come to St. Louis! September 2nd and 3rd. Mike

There was a pretty fair sized turnout for the outdoor event last year, and while open to all makes/models, the field was very Camaro heavy! Saw a killer Citrus Z28 I fell in love with from across the parking lot! I'll have to say, the Gateway Camaro Club does it up right!!

Just a reminder about the OUTDOOR show at SCR8.........This should be/could be an excellent show riding the coattails of the already very successful SUPERCAR REUNION which is at the same location INDOORS.
I am not possitive, but belive the outdoor show is open to all brands of MuscleCars.
Please help pass the word and HELP GROW this outdoor show into the major muscle car show that it deserves to be...........
Also there is the drag races on Friday at Gateway that should be a draw for many.
Check out the www.yenko.net web site for details......click on SCR8

So far, I know the following media folks will be covering SCR8.

Bob McClurg, who covered SCR7, will once again will be flying in from CA. He was at SCR7 and had several related articles published in Super Chevy, Chevy Rumble and Drag Racer magazine. In addition to covering the event, he will have on hand books and posters containing some of his more exciting prints.

Dennis Gage and My Classic Car TV will be on hand, mostly filming on Friday at the track.

Steve Statham, the editor of Musclecar Enthusiast will be attending/covering the event for the first time.

Most, if not all of our sponsors will have some sort of display at SCR8, so please stop by and say thanks, and of course inquire about their products.

The cut off date for the discounted room rate at the host hotel is August 11, 2005. To reserve a room, call the Holiday Inn at 1-800-551-5133.

Also, need to get a head count on who is planning on attending the banquet on Friday evening.

Holy smokes! Good job on keepin' this thing updated, Rus! We're getting new entries daily, and are generating a lot of buzz about the outdoor show...I would encourage any of you folks in the area looking for a show/cruise Labor Day weekend to stop by on that Saturday and join in the fun, as the Gateway Camaro Club really knows how to throw a party. There is *no* entry fee for the outside show, there will be dash plaques and People's Choice awards, as well as a DJ and other fun stuff...and if that's not cool enough, you can check out the Supercars indoors! Speaking of Supercars, here's the latest list of pre-registered cars...LOTS of Camaros...as well as coverage by My Classic Car and Muscle Car Enthusiast...check it out:
