I have a 69 Z28, matching # M-21 trans car that came with a flat steel hood, I think.

Now I do like the this flat hood but not as much as the Cowl hoods.

My question is if I decided to switch to a Cowl hood I want to do it correctly with the correct parts, hood, springs, air cleaner,etc.. Does anybody know where I should start and if it should be fiberglass or steel? Any part numbers on these hoods? Air Cleaner parts?

I want to keep it as orginal as possible but also think a Z needs a Cowl induction hood that works.

They were steel - get a GM hood, and Rick's has all the parts you need to set it up correctly. :)
