I just purchased a '69 Camaro that looks to be an original 4 speed car. It came with a B/W ST10 that has Sept 1974 stamped on the casing and needs to be put in. Is this a direct bolt up or do I need to start hunting for parts? I have some of the shifter linkage parts but would I be better off buying a Hurst Comp plus with a install kit. Any suggestions? Thank's Jeff

hey jeff - I've got the same setup - it'll bolt right in. I'm using a Hurst indy shifter - most of the Hurst stuff should have a mount plate thats drilled for municie \ BW \ or saginaw - You will need a 400 yoke for the ST10 and the input shaft is 26 splines - I dont have a console - so I can't tell you if the shifter is in the exact place as a munice....hope this helps...

As far as the shifter, you'd be way ahead to set it up on the bench, make any adjustments to the linkage, then remove the shifter, install the trans, and bolt the shifter back up.

If it has a console you must make an adaptor for the shifter. As far as I know no one makes the correct piece. It's not too hard if you have a piece of 1/2 alum. and a little time.

Jeff & Oger, I have the plate you need to mount the shifter correctly in a 1969 Camaro with a console using a ST-10 or late Muncie, its cut out on a CNC laser... I have the 1967-68 Camaro ST-10 or late Muncie shift mount almost complete...Hope this helps...Crash

Thank's for all the info! I don't have a console either it's a plain jane x11 car. nick V I checked the yoke last night and it matches up just fine. Engine and tranny are out of the car and I have a bunch of boxes and milk crates full of parts. So that's why I turned to this board for answers! Thank's again!
