I have a 68 that came with a bench seat. I want to keep the stock look of the interior. I'm going to install 700r4 my consern is the shift window (on the Column) where P/R/N/2/1 is currently. i dont think its big enough for all the new letters and should i be conserned and shifter throw in the column itself. has anyone seen this before.

I had this setup in my 70 Nova... worked fine. There is plenty of throw, you just may need to adjust the linkage a little and I even removed the shift indicator plate to add the OD spot!.

I did install a nice linkage kit from Lokar that went directly from the column to the tranny without having to use the frame bracket and stuff... made it much easier and cleaner. The kit is about $35 or so and Jegs carries it in their last catalog... I just posted the info several weeks ago on another post.
