Anyone know of any Dealers within 1000 miles of Texas that sell trucks at invoice? All brands.

I know of Dave Smith Motors in Kellog Idaho, they sell Dodge trucks cheaper than anyone I know of. I am just looking for more dealers of this type, that also sell Ford and Chevy to compare.

Thanks

I purchased my '03 Cummins Dodge Ram 4 x 4 at invoice from Bonham Chrysler for invoice price minus the incentives that were in place at the time. All in all, I think it came out to $3500 or $4000 below invoice. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Heres a local dealer that sells at 49.00 over invoice. The Chevy dealers in the Cincinnati area dont like em very well.

49.00 over invoice and the buyer recieves all rebates etc. They are located 15 min. from the Greater Cincinnati Aitport and will pick you up and you can drive it home. I've bought 5 vehicles from them in the last 10 years and havent found any dealers in the area that can match their prices. All the other dealers will say that there is no way thay can sell so cheap or wont talk to you at all.

The way these dealers do it is the "hold back" which for most brands is like 3 to 4 % or a set amount like $1000 per car or truck. They then count on volume sales to turn over their inventory fast and also sell ordered cars and trucks for these same prices. The word gets around and they flat move cars and trucks.
Dave Smith motors in Kellog Idaho sells I believe currently 1000 dodge ram trucks a month, he also sells chevy, the are on the web and have great prices, ask for a quote they will give it to you right on the phone with no pressure or you can email them.

When I priced a Dodge 2500 4x4 cummins diesel, auto tranny, loaded, after rebates out the door for $32,500

I am just looking for other dealers....dare I say even Ford to look for a new diesel truck.

Have you tried the Dodge dealer in Decatur, TX. They sell a bunch of cars out of that little town and I know the Cehvy dealer is tough to beat on prices.

I have been in Indy the last several days.

Bohnam is located northeast of Dallas.

It's about a 1 hour drive from there.

Use Edmunds.com to see the aproximate invoice. The real one will always be different since Edmunds rounds off to the dollar.

It must be tough for sales these days. The web has changed everything. Unless you are buying something that is just hot as heck, never ever ever pay a dollar over invoice. What I mean by that is figure the vehicle at invoice, plus any and all factory incentives. They are yours, not the dealers.

Then negotiate the commision for the sales rep. He/she is a working person and deserves to put steak on the table. If your ordering, I wouldn't pay anything over 50 bucks. If it is on the lot, then you have to decide how much over 50 bones you want to pay to drive it home. I would suggest not a penny over 200 but when you think about it, 300 bucks is not much on a 30 grand truck - so why not?

Have fun. Be ready for the games that might be played. There was once a section in Edmunds that describes the potential strategies that might be played against you. It's a good read.

What always worked for me is have the Edmunds invoice in hand. Tell them upfront you are going to purchase a truck at invoice, we'll negotiate the commision. If they say no, tell'em you'll buy it from someone else - walk. Or see the manager, say the same thing, THEN walk if you don't get cooperation. It always works 'cause you want to but it, they want to sell it.

Rick.
