Everett#2390 May 16th, 05, 07:09 AM There are two stytes, the compression ring in a compression union for plastic lines, and a cone shaped style for metal lines. Both can be bought at the local Hydraulic/Pnuematic Hose Supplier. JohnZ May 19th, 05, 03:00 PM If it's a GM gauge, it doesn't use a compression sleeve - the factory gauge (and the fitting in the back of the block) use a GM-proprietary cone-type male and female fitting design that doesn't use a sleeve. Most aftermarket stuff uses conventional plumbing-type compression fittings with sleeves. Also, the factory nylon line uses tiny brass inserts at both ends for the line to compress against for a good seal when you tighten the fitting; Rick's has the correct factory line (with inserts) and the GM fittings. |
