One of the previous owners of my car did a bit of body work, including installing new rear quarter panels. instead of removing the original quarters they just cut out the rusty parts and put the new rear quarter over top of the old ones. They did a pretty nice job, quarters are straight, no seam bleed through, etc...
Im re-doing the entire car now, and I was wondering what the concerns might be of leaving the quarters the way they are. Is there any compeling reason to remove both pairs of quarters (new, and old) and replace them completely with another set of new ones?
any advise here would be greatly apprechiated.
thanks for all of the great post on this site!!!!
