VIN and the build date match up.
Black houndstooth custom bucket interior.
Hugger orange with a black vinyl top.
10A is your build date (Oct. '68)
It's built before mid December so no "X" code on the cowl tag to show if it was an original Z.

These days whether it has an X code and original documentation or not you still need to go to the parts. Does it have a UH radiator? It should have a 660 case Muncie and if so do the date codes match and is the VIN stamped on it..and the motor , 12 bolt rear end and do all these pieces carry the correct date codes...if the sum of the parts add up then you just need to try and confirm if the parts are original to the car and not restamped. Get pictures of the stamps on the engine pad and trans and post them for some of the experienced guys to check out for you .
