HI All here are a couple of pics......

Paint is a 2001 Corvette Color with a coat of Gold Pearl covering the car.
The front end has gold pearl flames and a "Ghosted" nose stripe that came out pretty cool.

Well I see you're about 2 weeks behind me in getting paint... How long until it's finished? Fortuneatly I have about a week till I'll be cruising but I've skipped the clearcoat sanding and buffing for a short period so I can finish before school ends. Nice to know there are people working their guts out on their cars too.

A nice modified choice in color. Nice to see something unusual without being too loud. BTW, Why a '68 with '67 tailights??

Looks like a 67 (no side markers) that doesnt have the wings installed yet. Very nice job, hope mine turns out half as well.

Hi All, Thanks for the compliments....I wanted to do something a little different without going totally wild. We shaved all of the emblems and used 67 Quarters without side markers (Shaved the front as well.) I always like the 67' tail lights so I put them on.....anyway I updated the pics. I went to a small show this weekend and the response to the car was great!!!

My goal was to put the car together in 6 months (got it done almost 6 month to the day) without compromising quality...when I bought the car it was a total roach..here is a little of the laundry list.

1) 350 ZZ4 Crate Motor
2) Worked 700R4
3) Almost All of the sheet metal on the car is new (Full quarters, Full door, Inner fenders and wheelhouses,Valences, core support, hood, trunk, floors, trunk pan...ETC, Except for the drivers outer fender and drivers door. (Unfortunatly we couldn't save much)
4) Every interior part we could get to when she was appart was covered in POR 15.
5) 2 Layers of Dynamat throughout.
6) Frame Straightened. (It was hit hard at least 3 times..OUCH)
7) New Interior Headliner, Dash pad, Seats, Carpet, Trim...etc.
8) Front suspension gone through...Bushings, Lowering springs etc.
9) Sub Frame connectors.
10) 12 bolt posi with 3:73's
11) New wiring harnesses
12) New Radiator Hoses, Accesories...etc
13) The list goes on and on
14) 22 Cases of beer and many long nights!!

Anyway...she is finally ALMOST done.

The moral of the story.

Overpriced Roach Camaro.....7500$
Paint Body and Parts....19000$
8 Thumbs up, 6 Whiplashes, and a crowd of people everywhere I go....Priceless!!!

Keep working on em....There is light at the end of the tunnel!!!

I was thinking the same thing, taking it easy, that's less than one a week. :beers:
But maybe thats why he got the car finished in 6 months.
