Over priced junk cars...He say's he doesnt repair them but why would you have a spray booth/body shop in your garage? Better Business Report http://www.lexington.bbb.org/commonreport.html?compid=17000204 Silver69Camaro Jun 1st, 05, 01:29 PM I think this says it all! http://webpages.charter.net/silver69camaro/Images/69cam.jpg aonghus Jun 1st, 05, 01:47 PM ick BonzoHansen Jun 1st, 05, 02:02 PM What is that cirlced?? Silver69Camaro Jun 1st, 05, 02:25 PM Doesn't it look familiar? It's JB Weld!:D Scott Taylor Jun 1st, 05, 02:32 PM What is that cirlced?? It's JB Weld which is used to jury rig everything from rust repair to cracked blocks. It is a product that responsible mechanics and restorers don't need. kz1000ltd Jun 1st, 05, 02:41 PM It's JB Weld which is used to jury rig everything from rust repair to cracked blocks. It is a product that responsible mechanics and restorers don't need. I don't know all about that Scott, I used it to hold my dash pad retaining clips to the back of my new aftermarket dash pad, did it twice actually, and it worked great both times! Does that make me an unresponsible mechanic and/or restorer? I'm sure other's have used it for various "responsible" repairs, now, if he had a bottle of that radiator stop leak stuff hanging there, I'd tend to agree with you.......:) BonzoHansen Jun 1st, 05, 02:48 PM Ha! I couldn't read it, but now that you say that, it is clear as a bell! Heretic Jun 1st, 05, 03:14 PM Doesn't it look familiar? It's JB Weld!:D Maybe he is going to use it to fix the giant hole in the console between the ashtray and compartment door. 69-Z11Pacer Jun 1st, 05, 03:34 PM Excuse me for butting into this post, but I believe vendor bashing is frowned on in this fourm. I don't know who this company (Jake's Forgotten Past) is but I still think you should refrain from laying into him unprevoked. By the way JB weld is a good product, and doesn't mean who ever has it is a back yard mechanic. Grow up guys! Scott Taylor Jun 1st, 05, 03:47 PM By the way JB weld is a good product, and doesn't mean who ever has it is a back yard mechanic. Grow up guys! Yeah, you're right, I was a little quick to put down JB Weld. It does have quite a few legit applications, but it also is frequently used to hide serious issues. Silver69Camaro Jun 1st, 05, 04:02 PM I didn't mean to bash the vendor, I was just trying to stir up a few laughs. It did catch me off guard since many of his vehicles seem to be WAY overpriced, IMO... 69 Jun 1st, 05, 08:56 PM Excuse me for butting into this post, but I believe vendor bashing is frowned on in this fourm. J/K Hey I'm just trying to prevent somebody from making a very COSTLY mistake! Old business rule,.. Do something good and they tell 10 people, Screw somebody, they will tell everyone. Jonesy Jun 1st, 05, 09:19 PM Who says he screwed anyone? Did you have a personal dealing with him? CFunK Jun 1st, 05, 10:41 PM Yeah, I am with Jonesy on this one. Anyone here been personally screwed over by him? Why bash the guy trying to make a living without providing some evidence of wrong doing? kz1000ltd Jun 2nd, 05, 05:40 AM Did you guys click on the link to the Better Business Bureau statement? That's good enough for me, and no, I haven't dealt with him either. However, I do know his name has come up enough on this site in derogatory posts to be very, very wary of his cars. Buyer beware, that's all you can say really, if anybody is really interested in one of his cars, go check them out, to buy a car sight unseen from this guy, or anyone else for that matter, nowadays, is simply foolish. paulm Jun 2nd, 05, 07:17 AM I'm not here to bash anyone, but I really do appreciate the BBB link. Like KZ said, that's good enough for me to avoid dealing with them. CFunK Jun 2nd, 05, 09:27 AM If you are going to base your decision to do business with a company and rely solely on a BBB report best not do business with Sears in ATL then. http://www.atlanta.bbb.org/commonreport.html?bureau=atlanta&compid=7629&code=RB Jonesy Jun 2nd, 05, 10:26 AM The BBB link doesnt really tell you much in detail. How many complaints?? What was bought?? Does the place show a history of complaints?? I dont think that's a great way of judging this guy. Someone was disatisfied at one point to call the BBB. I dont think judgment should be passed by because JB Weld or this BBB report. Alot of assumptions with out the facts are being tossed around here. There are always two sides to a story. Some people are difficult to work with on both sides. Anyways, like KZ mentioned above, you should always check out a used car in person before you buy. Codi Jun 2nd, 05, 10:49 AM JB Weld! A staple in any household. Just used it the other day to fix a broken leg on Ricochets horse (huge toy horse). Can't raise kids without it. CFunK Jun 2nd, 05, 10:52 AM Yeah, it's a pretty blanket statement on the BBB site. The BBB link also states he is not a member of the BBB. Hmm, even Sears is shown as not a member. Strange. Silver69Camaro Jun 2nd, 05, 11:39 AM It takes alot of complaints for that to show up on the BBB. They are also unresolved. |
