While looking through thousands of pictures while trying to located a photo of an old race car I am restoring, I noticed how many cool First Gen Camaro pictures I was seeing and decided to put them into a photo album if anyone wants to check them out . They look like they were taken at Sebring, Daytona and Riverside....there are some other tracks I don't recognize. I also tossed in other car pictures including Cuda's, Javelins and Mustangs as well as a few European race cars. Pretty cool to see a 69 Z at Sebring right next to a Ferrari 512 and Porsche 917..there is even one where a Ferrari 512 is in flames on the side of the track..I think the Camaro went by so fast that the heat got to the 512 and it burst into flames :)

This is a wild picture...though I said it was a Ferrari 512 on fire it is actually a Lola T70..and the airplanes in the background...Sebring.

Quite a few of these will be added to my picture collection hanging on my garage wall.

The car on fire is a Chevron, notice the side scoop on the tail.
One pick showed the name Mosport, I think most of the pics with lots of trees was Mosport.

The poor guys having to race long distance with THAT mix of cars!!!

I'm trying to remember who ran the #11 Red McLaren? may have been Lothar Motschenbacher. I know I screwed up the spelling of THAT guy's name. He's raced in EVERY Can-Am race they HELD! He usually bought the previous years winning car from Team McLaren.
The McLaren driver with two thin stripes on a white helmet is Denny Hulme (The Bear).
He died a fiew years back while driving a race car in New Zealand, just went while driving!
I see Paul Newman, Jacky Icxx, Mario Andretti, the two McLaren photo must have Bruce and Denny in there but it's hard to see. I remember Bolus and Snopes team but it was from later years when they raced west coast, didn't know they raced a Camaro at one time.
