One of the Vendors I deal with just called and offered me free tickets for my family to go on sunday to the nationals (finals) at Englishtown. And they will have a hospitality tent set up with the race team they sponsor. :beers: I'm there!

First time going to the NATS, but have been to Etown many times. Is there anything I should know about the NATS versus regular nights?

It’s more crowded. Get there early. And when they start a top fuel car in the pits, get the hell out of the way (or bring your gas mask, like I have seen guys do). :clonk:

Nighttime Nats compared to regular night? The thrill and visual of a Top Fuel vehicle running down a dark track and flames comin' outta the pipes........I don't think there's anything to match it.

Hate to burst the bubble, but company policy would dictate acceptance.

Traffic is bad, really bad but you live in E-town so your ride or walk won't be bad. You have to stand at the starting line to see the cars launch, and then go to the new tower at the end of the track and drink a cold one and see the cars go by at 330mph. And last stay there after the races close and when everybody is in traffic walk around the pits and watch the teams pack the cars and prep the cars for the next day. Nobody is in the pits so you can ask all the question you want, they will answer them all and you will never forget it. And don't forget to take pictures and lots of pictures of Angelle Sampy and Ashley Force

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna take the digital, but I do not live close enougth to walk, but know about the traffic! I go to the swap meets and there is traffic then too! I have a secret way that is not too bad. I will try it and see how it goes this time. I will report back with pics :)
