I don't live there, but I sometimes read into a name of a business. Engine Factory for reason just does not sit well with me. I would like to have skilled techs working on my parts. By saying factory it sounds like anyone witha wrench could be building them. Not slamming them, its just what I see in the name.

I would suggest going to see them and look around. Any shop worth it's salt will give you a tour and show you what they do. Look to see how clean it is and how workers keep their work spaces and tools. This will also tell you a little about the place and people working there. I have bought an engine or had work done at shop that was a pig pen.

you can go to their website and they will actually send you a VHS tape of their facilities and of them actually building an engine. They start out their presentation with a motor coming out of a box and it's running! Talk about turnkey! I have that tape in my VCR and I come home almost every night and rewind that tape just to see those beutiful engines (sigh) Someday I will have to order me one!! www.enginefactory.com

As far as the name I'm sure they were trying to come up with a "catchy name". I can't see how you can judge a business just by the way their business name sounds?!? just my .02 cents

Lots of Ford kit-car guys (Shelby Cobras and GT-40s) are running engines from this place and I've heard good reviews.

Their 500HP 383 has an Edelbrock carb ;) If they can get 500HP out of a Edelbrock they must know their stuff. (I'm JOKING! no Edelbrock vs Holley debates needed)

Actually, I live in NJ and have never heard of them. Don't know if thats a good thing or bad thing...
