OK guys so I have this Griffin aluminum universal radiator that I want to put in my 67. Is there a kit for this thing that someone would recommend? I searched through the forums and saw people talking about welding on angle iron but I know Griffin uses epoxy and welding can overcure the epoxy.

Thanks!

I saw one at a car show recently and four little L shape brackets were made out of aluminum and they were either epoxied to the tank sides or maybe adhered with coolchem or one of the super adhesives and little rubber washer type insulators were used between the brackets and the core support. I am thinking of doing the same deal on mine if my 3 core doesn't cool my 406 when I start it up this week and I have to go to an aluminum Rad

I would NOT be afraid to weld aluminum "ears" on the sides or tanks if you keep a wet towl on the tank. Should not affect the epoxy one ioda.

Griffin doesn't trust you. That's the issue here. If you are comfortable with welding aluminum and know where to avoid.....no biggie. Just stay away from the epoxy areas and protect the heat path with wet towels or whatever. I have done it myself...no big deal. You have to decide as to how crafty you are or are not to do this.
