I recently purchased a 67 camaro from Pennsylvania. The car had a 427 in it. I traced it back 3 owners and spoke to a gentleman who owned it in the early eighties. He said when he bought it it had a 427 in it with 5:13 gears, 12 bolt and muncie 4 speed. I did some research and may be able to locate the engine. He said when he owned it, it was blue with white stripes and had what he thought was a L88 corvette style hood. It now has a 69 cowl hood. The trim tag shows it was originally a base coupe gold on gold. The front fenders still have the camaro emblems with 427 under them and it looks like 1967 impala style flags under them. The car has a small block heater core with soldered fittings to help clear a big block cyliner head & cover. It also has 2 holes under the trim tag that looks like a resistor or electrical sending unit was mounted there. It has strange bubble like tail lights with no backup lights. Another strange thing that i can not figure out is from looking inside the trunk by the tail lights there are four small (1/8" or smaller) screw holes equally spaced on each corner near the tail light housings through the tail light panel. The car also has front and rear 68 side marker lights. It has a four core harrison radiator that looks like it belongs in the car. It has 68m & 016689 on the tag radiator tag. It has "O m M" on the tank. The car does not have trim tag info about being a RS or SS. Can somebody help me identify some of this? The car is not a SS or RSThanks in advance.

Don't want to get you too excited, but I'd do some serious research regarding potential Yenko status!! Go to Yenko.net and look under the Yenko forum (VIN sub-forum) to see if your car is on the list of known VINs for 67 Yenkos. Then seek some help....there are a few guys there who really know their Yenkos.

These holes are leftover from the pop-riveted piece of blank sheetmetal to cover the tailight holes.

This is where the LineLoc solenoid was mounted.

A 67 with 68 side markers? Is the green wire there for the lights?
RS option had the reverse lights in the tail panel. Reverse lights were an option in 67?

I decoded the radiator and found it is definately a 67 or 68 camaro 4 core radiator. I could not find an actaul code for a 4 core 67 harrison radiator. I did find a 68 4 core listing and the code is differant but the part number on the tag is correct which leaves me to believe it most likely was made in 67 or the information i received is inaccurate. I did find out it was also painted black with white stripes. It went from gold, to blue with white stripes, to black with white stripes, to the now yellow. I am waiting for some other additional info that may shed some light on it. Thanks for the input and if anyone could help please let me know.
