I was down at the Goodguys show today (Pleasanton Ca). I am a member so I got a goody bag for the car I had in the car carral. I just got home and was thumbing through the 2004 Year Book (which was in my goody bag) and low and behold there I am on page 42 driving my 70 Camaro (that I no longer own). I was shocked and wasn't expecting that at all. I have seen my car in print before but, I think it's a cool picture because the car is being driven not just a still photo ( I just wish it has sound, I am going through withdrawls). Not sure why I felt the need to post about it but, that's what we do, LOL.
Did anyone else go to the show today?

Royce, That IS cool! I have never seen my car in print...but we just had an event in Everett, Wa last weekend called "Cruzin' to Colby". Few people realize that they had microphones and cameras set up at the check point. When I saw the DVD, there I was in full color. It's kind of weird to see it when you're not expecting it. Good times!

Is this the show you were at last year and someone had noticed someone writing down the vin from that car?
Also, I am a member too. What month is the magazine, I will look for the picture.

Dan,
This show was at the same place as the show you mentioned. I don't think this was the same event though. The picture is from the June (2004) show. If I remember right the guy was writing down info at the Autumn 2004 (November). You have a good memory, I thought the same thing when I saw the picture.
The magazine is the Goodguys yearbook 2004 Event Season. Very nice full color book. Not sure where you would buy it but, it does have a $5.00 price printed on the cover.
Jim,
I really don't miss the car, it did bring back some good memories seeing it in print. Like I said above I just miss the sound of that blower. I will hear it again soon. The power was awesome and fun too. I must say I had more fun in that car than any other car I have ever owned to date. Hopefully my current project will be as much fun. When I sold it I knew I was ready for a new challenge.
Dano, You're right it is shocking to see it. Good feeling though. This is much cooler to me than the picture Car Craft had of my car when they were advertising their web site in one of their magazines. The car wasn't blown then and it was a small picture. This picture is 1/3 of a page.
I got a call from a friend last night asking it I looked at the Yearbook yet. He saw me in there and was calling to tell me.
