my rear suspension setup is far from ideal, so i was hoping some of you racers with a pretty dialed in suspension setup could post your combos and 60foot times? Particularly the rear suspension setup.

Not the "ideal" set up but works.
Mono leafs and slapper bars. My best has been 1.89 with McCrearys on a so so track. Buddy runs same set up in a Nova with a lot more horse power and 1.4's and 1.5's on MT drag radials.
A lot of people like the Caltracts.

35 year old multi leaf springs (5), $9 Auto Zone gas shocks and CE J-bolt slapper bars.

I run mid 1.50's 60' on drag radials.

Nothing fancy, but the key with slapper bars is setting the snubber gap correctly.

I have never heard a bad coment about the Cal-Trac bars. They are a little more pricey is all.

My car had slapper bars with adjustable snubbers, red rider shocks, 4.56 gears and 5 leaf replacement springs from NPD. It ran a best of 7.18 on motor with 1.57 in the 60'. It had hoosier quick time pro dot tires 28 11.5 15.

On a 225 hit of nitrous off the line it ran 6.60's spinning the hole way with 1.50's in the 60'. I some caltracs with no change, I tried rancho shocks with no change, I tried hitting the nitrous down track with poor results also. i bought brand new tires with still no change.

The single thing that totally transformed my car was going back the the stock 3.73 gears. It ran a 7.19 on motor just using two gears instead of 3 with the 4.56 rears and it was a whole lot smoother. The first pass with the 3.73 gears I thought man this time is going to suck, because it was so long until I had to shift.

On the nitrous with the 3.73 gears it ran a 6.42 first pass out with a 1.44 60'. I later put a 275 shot on it and it ran a 6.23 with a 1.38 60'.

mono leaf springs, 50/50 ce shocks, c.e.trackson bars ,ce anti roll kit .28x10 mt slicks on 15x8 drag lights,456 gears best 1.46 60fts on good track .not so good track will be from 1.50 to 1.54 60s also poly bushings in the springs
