I am going to phrase this question so that it is a yes/no answer... :-) On my 67 Camaro, when I power on the head lamps, the parking lamps go out...is that the way they are supposed to work?

Yes.

I Think you can by something that turns them on when the lights are on or re-wire it your self. Looks cool with light and parking light at the same time.
