is this a good exhaust? Ive heard a lot about it and I would like to know how it is in terms of sound and performance. also will they work good with hooker headers?

Which version of the AT are you looking at? The one with dual mufflers or the single transverse muffler?

I just put the 40 series duelies on a set of hooker competition headers 2 1/2 inch all the way back. They sound the balls. Not loud enough to **** every neighbor off, but they definately have some attitude. Interior noise is not that bad either. :thumbsup:

I have that system in my 69 with 406.If your scared its going to sound like a mustang its not going to.Only really loud when i crack it hard.

well I want it to be loud but...within reason...if you know what I mean. Loud enough to be mean and to be heard, but not loud enough to wake all the neighbors

Same deal on the 396 Chevelle with hookers and flomaster 40's, 2 1/2" pipes all the way back. Love the sound and the interior noise is low. We get a lot of compliments on the rumble! :thumbsup:

hooker comps with the dual AT system here... 2.5in out the back.... 292 cam. 9.5 :1 compression, oval port open chamber heads(stock)

not too loud, but sounds mean...sounds really really good in the high R's
