I'm installing the sawtooth console gauge package on my 68 Camaro. I've also purchased the small 1/8 nylon oil line that drives the gauge. I'm wondering if one needs to bleed the air out of the line (and gauge) or prime it or something. Is there a need to be concerned about air in the gauge or the line? If so, is there a good way to bleed it out?
Thanks,

No, you don't need to bleed ot prime the line. Make sure you got the correct ferrals for the gauge. The factory one takes a different type than say an autometer gauge does. I don't know if this is true for the repro one so check with the supplier to be sure, you don't want to end up with oil in your carpet and console...

Like DjD says, no need to bleed the line. Pressure is pressure, whether it's it liquid or air. I suppose, in theory, air pressure would enable a faster gauge response since air has less viscosity than oil. But, that's why there is a very small hole in the gauge, to dampen the needle so it doesn't tend to fluxuate.
