Anyone here know of any Good speed shops here in the Chicagoland Area? I want to buy a new Performance Cam and a set of Solid Lifters (over the counter) and need help finding where to get them. Anyone know a good place to go?

in the chi-town area you have one of the best "late-model" shops in schaumburg . . . speed inc (http://www.ls1speed.com) . . . I'm sure Tom (the owner) knows old school too, he owns a very nice 69 ss packing a built LS1

also have Billingsley Racing in Decatur
Jay B is a great guy and his father has been in NHRA competition for decades . . . 217-519-0597

these are just 2 I know from the MFBA
http://ubb.mfba.org
large f-body club (mostly 4th gens, but all are welcome) based in chi-town area

tell em "fastz28" (J L) sent ya

Give these guys a call. They did an engine for me when they first opened up back in the 70's and are still there. Also if you ever notice some of the Midwest cars in the Magazines, I am seeing more and more having work listed as being done by them. Freeport 126 miles due wwest of the Windy City (RT 20 other side of Rockford)
