hey guys newbie here,and i just got an 92 camaro rs with a 305,went to change the oil and radiator fluid today,so i diconnected the battery crawled underneath and did the deed.finished and all went well i connected the battery back up and it wouldnt start,found out i wasnt getting any spark from the coil,so i checked all the fuses i could find under the dash and hood to no avail..any ideas or should i go buy another coil? thnx beachbum :clonk:

A quick check would be for the electrical connector to the distributor to make sure it didn't fall out. As harnesses get older, plastic becomes brittle and the clip holding the plug in place may have broken off and allowed the connector to become disconnected.

If battery voltage is present during cranking, then it could be the ignition module inside. If it is changed, apply plenty of supplied dielectric grease to the underside of the module as this helps dissipate heat from the module. Check other components under the cap while you are there, weights move in/out, rotor is good, coil is good and has the spring-loaded contact still there, and the contacts on the cap are free from corrosion.
