My first post to the site and I hate it to be like this but, I thought I should get this out. I do not believe the small block Pacer VIN 124679N619370 for sale on their web site and currently on Ebay Item number: 4557152233 is a #'s matching block. Please be careful. I had been working to buy this car more than a month ago from a collector in McAllen,TX and at that time the car had the following block: 3932388, T1218HN, 19015109. It now appears to be restamped. Sold from McAllen for $32,500 because I pointed out to the owner then that it was NOT #'s matching. Now Red Line has it for $46K+. I spoke to Red Line a few weeks ago about buying it and at that time it had a 3970010 block in it. Just thought I should try and get this out. Hate to cast stones but this one just stuck in my craw.

3970010 is not a correct casting for a March Car either, they didn't show up until April. Should have a 618 block.

It's nice looking, but hardly the survivor it's being pushed as. The A/C system is not original (at least the evaporator and dryer assembly is from a later model car). The compressor and hose are wrong and the vacuum can for the A/C is mounted on the inner fenderwell instead of the firewall out under the drivers side fender. The PTB stamps are also added becsause they were stamped by Fisher before the suitcase was installed by GM and 90 percent of the time are under the A/C suitcase. Gauges were added, no clock and the dash pod still has the gas gauge in it.

32K was a good price for the car the seller was lucky to get that. This guy will end up owning the car for a while if he wants to make a profit.

That dealership is well-known around these parts for being a complete and total SHAM!! I personally know 2 people who bought CLONES that were represented as real cars, and are out BIG bucks because of it!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

I live less than 50 miles from Red Line. I, too, know people who have bought cars that came from them that were not what were represented. I have personally seen cars that they have "restored" with fake cowl tags and restamped engines. Camaros are their specialty. Don't walk away from a Red Line Car - RUN!!!

I also saw this car on eBay. I noticed the red flags that Mark C had mentioned. And now that some have commented on their reputation, I would suggest to stay away from it.

I thought SS cars had a tach in the dash not a fuel gauge.?

This car doesn't have the RS headlight washer solenoid on the wiper motor either.

A tach is not mandatory for an SS, could be ordered without..........

How do they stay in business?

By selling their clones to uninformed idiots with more money than sense, much like you, Donkey............:D By the way, you need to change your signature, you don't have one of those cars left, don't they all now reside at Redline?

Car was in FL a few years ago and reputedly had a HB motor in it, for what that's worth.....

Good information. Did you keep any pictures etc. showing the previous engine? If so post them. Lots of guys on this site have been working to expose the blatant fraudulent auctions.

It's going to take more than $20 bucks a week for her to loan you a picture so you can tell everyone you're married.

That's OK Danny, I forgive you, especially since you gave me the PRIVILEGE of parking next to a REAL BB Z11 this evening!! Seriously, Danny's car puts mine to shame, I tried to get him to have a wing eating contest for titles, but he knew better!!

KZ - your car turned out very nice so don't sell it short! All the car needs is a real driver!
