I have a 1976 Camaro LT and i have no brake lights, i have running lights and blinkers but when i press the brakes there are no brake lights.

I swapped out the fuses and the bulbs the only thing left i can think of is maybe a bad connection or wire, could there be anything else before i go ripping out the wiring?

Did you check the brake light switch up in front of the brake pedal arm? It has two wires connected to it - one should be hot all the time (battery power), and the other one will only be hot when the pedal is depressed - that wire feeds the turn signal switch, which in turn feeds the brake lights and turn signals.

JohnZ is correct. Unplug the switch and jumper the two wires together. If your brake lights come on, you have found the problem.
