Just curious. I am one figure away from finishing my collection of Mc Farlane's NFL Sports Pick figures (kind of like the old starting line up figures only way more detailed). Just wanted to see if anyone is into collection toys or other type of memorabillia....

I collect shot glasses from all over the world. I'm not even close to having as many as I want. My mom collects thimbles, you wouldn't believe how many different kinds there are. I also have a booger sculpture collection. :D Just kidding!

Me & the wife are both stricken with the collecter bug. In fact, right now we're watching collecter heaven on T.V.
We collect trains of all sizes,(not the real ones, but the real ones are only 50' from the front of the house!) We don't collect as many as we'd like because of space.
I collect die-cast cars from 1:18 to 1:64 scale, currently in the 400+ range.
The wife has her collection of apple dishs and anything that's apples for the kitchen. It's currently spilling out into the dining room. She also collects angels of all sizes. (She collects shoes & jewelry too.)
We have a collection of old sailships like the mayflower that range in size from 16" long to 29" too.
We like antique furniture too and we are running out of space for the few we have. Mainly old chairs, leather & hardwood with horse hair stuffing & old office swivel rockers from the late 1800's. Also have a collection of old Hi-Fi's from the 40's & 50's, (7 of them).
The wife has a basket collection too large to display that are currently in boxes with nowhere to go. As well as my tin collection that is also in boxes with no room for display.
And last (I think) is my teapot collection that's scattered around the kitchen. Oh yeah, the wife started a collection of those vinegar bottles with the fancy crap inside that's colorful. She's starting to squeeze my teapots out with her stuff. Oh wait, there's the marble collection, dominoes set, bookends etc. Oh, and the snow globes.
And then there's the cars.
You see, my sickness runs much, much deeper than anyone realizes. It's so sick that we're thinking about buying a bigger house just for the crap. It doesn't get sicker than that, does it? LOL

I 'collect' tools - I display them all over my shop when I'm working and collect them at the end of the day if I'm not to tired :D

Hey Stevo - what kind of trains do you collect?

I too collect HO scale trains. I only need a place to put them up. I reciently visited the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. There they have a HUGE train display set up that cost them over 3.5 MILLION DOLLARS to build

I collect modern first edition books in fiction and literature. (Yawn) I know, it doesn't sound too exciting, but when you run across a Steinbeck or a Hemingway first in a used book store for $5, it's just as exciting to me a WOT blast down the freeway on-ramp. I have an entire room in my house devoted to the collection.

Oh, and bicycles. I buy them just so other people can't have them.

Never bought anything, but have about 30-45 old milk bottles from 1/2 pint to the quarts, some with creamer tops. Also have one carrier for the bottles < wire basket kind of thing > And no none are filled. Found them as a kid every summer at Grandma's , one by one.

I've collect Hot Wheels since 1968... and have about 20,000 of those suckers... I especially like Redlines in blister pack and consentrate on 1973 enamels. web page (http://www.hotwheelsnow.com)

Also I collect these Japanese diecasts (Tomicas) and suspect that I have one of the most complete collections of Tomicas in the USA.

Apartment buildings... have been collecting thoses also.... and I have a couple 1969 Camaros and a 1969 Corvair.

Once you get the collecting bug it's hard to give it up! My life would be soooo much simpler if I could only practice MODERATION... but life's to short to follow the rules graemlins/clonk.gif

Sadly, most of them "disappeared" when my son took them to the baby sitters house. I still have quite a few but they are all in pretty rough shape. They are stuffed in a box somewhere. If I only knew then what they would be worth.
