I need to know what type of fast ratio steering box I have for header purchase in my 69. Previous owner seems to think it is a Delco. I really only need to know if it is a Saginaw? Any distinctive features to look for? Thanks, Bobby Klein

I am not exactly sure what your question is? All Saginaw 700 power steering gear boxes are exactly the same in outside dimensions. So header clearance (or interference) will be the same regardless of gear box ratio or travel.
If you want to know exactly what the steering ratio, travel, torsion bar size, and valve efforts; you need to be able to read a two letter code that should be ink stamped on the aluminum side cover and/or the aluminum end plug. The Camaro gear boxes and the two letter alpha codes are listed here:

The following paper describes the various Saginaw power steering gears and what needs to be modified or changed to get them to work properly in the various model years of production.

You might post a question in the Performance section asking how that particular brand header fits.
Also do a search of the perf section archives, the question may have allready been asked!
