Does anybody on this site have knowledge of and dealings with Camaro World Inc from Richardson Tx . ? They have ripped me off and seem to be ripping off many others on ebay also. Anybody want to earn some free Camaro parts, for a solid butt wooping and money collection service? The guys first name is Tracy but he wouldn't give any other. Please respond if you know this person. Thanks.

I know him very well, and I've never had anything but good dealings with him. Send me an email and we'll talk about this offline..........KZ

UPDATE KZ, I hope you don't call this guy a friend. He returned the call today but is absolutely in denial. The kind of friend that would steal from you. He still won't return money, Moderators, I know that this is not necessarily appropriate but please let it run, other members need to know not to deal with this clown. First he doesn't even know the difference between front and rear bumper guards, second he waits forever before sending, third when he receives the part back he just keeps the part and the money, fourth, he basically refuses to communicate , and fifth, as a business? he hangs up on the customer? Whats up with this? Do not do business with CAMARO WORLD INC, 634 S CENTRAL EXPRESSWAY, RICHARDSON TX 75080 PHONE # 972 907 9578 OR 972 907 9521 TRACY FIELDS IS THE OWNER.

This is not vender bashing, it is an alert to fellow Camaro fans and restorers.
For those that know me (most of the moderators that were in Seattle two years ago), this is not a normal issue but I feel that it is important.

Well, I'll be honest with you, I do consider him a friend. I just can't imagine why he would do such a thing. I also checked out his eBay feedback, and it was great until about 2 months ago, then there are about half a dozen negatives just like yours, where the buyer says he never received his parts, and Tracy responds by saying that UPS lost his entire shipment? I'm not sure what happened, but I'm going to try and find out tonight, his business is on my way home from work, I think I will stop by just to say "hi", and to see what he has to say for himself. This is really sad, whichever the case may be, because I spent a fortune with him, and he always gave me great prices and never once did I have a problem with customer service. Just doesn't make sense to me, but I will see what I can do.

please send me his email address so we can see if he is running ads on our site. admin@camaros.net If something was through our site I'd like to find out what is going on.

The ebay comments are something solid, don't take this wrong but saying he 'ripped you off' usually gets a post sent to the dumpster as there isn't much for anyone to make a decision on.

Thanks for not dropping the thread and for the support. When something is purchased in good faith on ebay or anywhere for that matter, the seller expects timely payment (which he received). The buyer expects the goods to be the ones that were advertised in a timely manner (which I didn't get the purchased parts and it took over two months to ship). When the seller is confronted (multiple times) he should respond to be as helpful as possible. Especially if he runs a business ( I ought to know). The wrong parts were returned with a ups confirmed delivery (over 3 months ago). Now, when confronted the seller says that he didn't receive the parts (Dummy), (as a business, ups has a sign. required for the non residental rate), and will not return the money and chooses to hang up on the customer. While the amount is overall only approx $107, this is now basically spent as an advertising cost. Guess I will have to make a visit across 3 states.

Thanks
KZ and Al

wow, thanks for the heads up Don (vintage camaro), but as you know i'd probably never run into him because i usually buy from you  .
i just wanted to jump in and stand up for "vintage camaro", this must be serious, because i've dealt with him for a few years now, and never even heard him so much as badmouth someone, he's a class guy, and a true camaro enthusiast same as most of us. i honestly believe this is a "heads up", not just a "i'll get him" situation, based on my dealings with him. just my .02
:beers:

It was about 2 1/2 yrs ago.....Camaro World was selling factory original "rosewood" steering wheels on Ebay. Since, he was local, I purchased one from him. Needless to say, I was in shock when I got the wheel.....it was a cheap repro made/painted to look like a real rosewood wheel. He definately is not in good standing with the Camaro community in North Texas or with vendors that he trades with.

Man, KZ....I see you have a man-crush on Bel-Air Bob! I re-read your post, or should I say love letter :-) Bob is a great guy who does great restorations.

People and circumstances change....ALOT! Obviously this dealer had a great (or atleast good) reputation for quite some time! Maybe something bad came his way? I have a personal rule for buying parts "out of state" or on ebay, etc.....Don't spend more than you care to lose! If it's a parts dealer with a shop, start small and work your way up, or better yet, try to find someone locally, or a swap meet. Too many scammers and weasels out there these days. It's almost as if customer service is a thing of the past. :( It always sucks to get a part in bad shape or broken or even not get it at all, but then I don't know this dealer personally, so I'll wait and see what gets found out before jumping on the lynch crew ;)

Actually, I talked to him and his stance was that the person that started this thread never returned the bumper guards, plain and simple. As far as the other negatives he's received recently on eBay, he said that UPS lost a big shipment of his and would not compensate him??? I took him at his word and really don't know what else there is to say about it. Granted, it looks bad for his business, but I'm in no position to call the man a liar, after all, like I said before, he has always done right by me. Sorry I couldn't help.......KZ

UPS has automatic insurance up to $100.00 Maybe this will help? Have you filed a claim with UPS? This should clear up weather he has recived parts back, then go from there. Could be some sort of misunderstanding. I don't like to get burned, and in the heat of the momment sometime we forget the first step. Not saying you did and not taking sides, just tyrying to help a little.

Thanks KZ , if the other shipments were on the same day, maybe I would believe the story, but multiple shipments on multiple days, lost? it makes a person wonder why 10% of all the packages shipped by one company (small company ) are lost, never to be recovered, if they were shipped (as was stated) per the feedback, then the sender would have been compensated at minimum. UPS is not a slack company, yes they make mistakes, but usually it is a damage, caused by bad package prep. not a total loss. By the way, the other people with the lost items were not compensated either. If he says UPS didn't compensate him, and the customers weren't compensated, then somebody kept all the money and the parts. Not accusing, just pointing out the obvious.

shipper puts in the claim of lost package. did you request the 1z barcode to track package? you can track your own package. if shipper will not give you this package info, they may not have shipped the goods. [ check in the mail ]

Just recently I had bad dealings with Camaroworld. The picture on the website www.camaroworldinc.com (http://www.camaroworldinc.com) is not the building that camaroworld is housed in. I purchased about $3400 in parts from Tracy Fields and he drafted $5,760.20 from my credit card with out my knowledge. I had to pursue a refund from my bank because he denied it ever happened. This guy is a thief, liar and a bad person. He will steal from you. Friend or not, he will steal. I was never his friend. He is a great person to chat with but he is a thief and a liar. I sued him in court last week (He lost and failed to appear)and I am pursuing to get his business closed down. Additionaly; I am seeking criminal charges based on new Laws from the Department of Homeland Security. I want him in jail where he belongs. He was kicked off of EBAY because of me. This is not a bashing, it is a BE AWARE thing for us poor guys that work for our money and dont steal it and call them self's a business. He currently owe's me about $2100. CAMAROWORLD is TRASH.

Yes, they moved from that location about a year ago, I wondered why they hadn't updated the website. Sorry to hear about your issues with Tracy, I considered him a friend at one time and this saddens me, I haven't seen him in person since before the move last year. Guess his reputation went from bad to worse! Anyway, hope it works out for you and you get your money back. If there's one thing I've learned, if you're going to restore one of these cars, it's always nice to have a great, reliable parts source. I quit buying from CamaroWorld about 3 years ago and then bought exclusively from BelairBob, a wise decision if I ever made one, Bob's a class act and stand up guy, he's taken good care of my Camaro parts needs over the years! His reputation around here is golden!

For the people in the DFW area, you ever use Firewheel Classics? If so, whats your thoughts on this supplier?

Well, he shouldn't be hard to find, he's at all of the local swapmeets with his big Camaro World tent and plenty of parts for sale! As far as Firewheel Classics, they are great people with great customer service, prices are a little higher than some other places. If you are buying local and don't want to pay for shipping, I highly recommend them! If you are just looking for the best prices around, I would shop with Belair Bob!!!!
