Does anyone know the type of fitting used on the hi-jacker air shocks? Mine came with a Tee and I want to seperate each side. The fitting has a double o-ring with a follower compressed by a plastic nut onto very small hard plastic tubing.
I just went thru the McMaster Carr site and couldn't find anything like it. Autozone says it's not available. Gabriels site didn't help.
TIA,
Joe

When I put a set of hijackers on my Camaro this spring, the hoses leaked, so I had to find a new set-- I wen to my local auto parts store, they had a universal type kit that did the job, it was kind of expensive, around $20.

Joe,
If I remember correctly, it is 1/8" plastic tubing and uses regular plumbing compression fittings. Any good hardware store should have what you need. I did mine on my Chevelle seperately many years ago and I am almost positive thats what I used.

Can't wait to get my Hi-Jackers. I'm putting 24" wheels on the rear and 305/40r24's on my custom rally wheels!

If you want to separate the lines, the kit for this consists of two T fittings with a plug that you place in one end of each of the T's. Just about any parts place should be able to order the kit. I know NAPA has them. The handling is greatly improved with separately controlled lines. A single fitting suppying both lines forces air out of the outside shock and into the inside shock when cornering, amplifying corning roll.

Thanks D, but I got a new set on the '68 now. But I could use them for my Son's '69 if you really want to get rid of them. I wonder what shipping would be from Tennesee.

I did get in touch with Gabriel tech support and they tell me there is a kit #140656 that'll supply each shock seperately. I've ordered 2 kits and will get them tomorrow. I'll let you know how they work out.
Thanks for all the replies,
